Location: This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of being able to work remotely and from our Corby office.
Contract Type: Permanent
The Opportunity As the Management Accountant – Supply Chain, you will be a key member of the Supply Chain Finance Team and a valued partner to the Supply Chain Management function. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate submission of monthly management accounts and cyclical financial planning processes, whilst also partnering with the EMEA Transportation Director and his Team.
What You Will Be Doing
Decision Support
Pro-actively drive the Supply Chain teams to use information and analysis for effective decision-making. Provide senior level financial decision support within the function with focus on costs. Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts. Provide accurate commentary on performance against agreed criteria. Include comprehensive analyses of all risks and opportunities, understanding root cause for key variances and driving recommendations to improve performance. Support the Supply Chain Team in ad hoc, deep dive analysis to drive sustainable, profitable performance. Understand and model variable costs that flex with revenue, enabling business to make decisions based on financial models.
Problem Solving
Analyse performance data to identify and address route causes and find effective solutions Effective in analysing situations and identifying issues, causes and solutions. Collaborate with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management. Recognise and escalate potential risks and issues in a timely manner. Engender a mind-set in the team to identify solutions, rather than report problems.
Reporting
Deliver a consistent suite of reporting across the Freight & Packaging functions which meet the needs of all categories and Supply Chain LT members. Maintain optimal efficiencies within reporting processes. Provides insightful reporting into published financial and other performance reports and initiates ad hoc analysis where required. Responsible for consistent Freight & Packaging reporting, incorporating the complexities of multi-site and multi geography locations. Responsible to both the function and to other group functions for the provision and integrity of all financial and management reports relating to digital. Support best practice across Finance in the use of technology and the presentation of consistent information. Supports a robust controls environment.

Forecasting & Budgeting
Translates functional objectives into robust financial plans, business targets and KPIs. Ensures management information is presented in a business centric and relevant way tailored to support strong business performance. Responsible for functional planning, budgeting and re-forecasting with a cost perspective. Proactive in proposing action to ensure that performance targets are not only met but exceeded.
Projects
Responsible for financial management of business Project and Programmes originating in the Supply Chain Function, mainly from the EMEA Transportation Team. Provides rigorous financial and business analysis of decisions ensuring a full evaluation of options; constantly looks for value for the Group.
What You’ll Bring
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent). Relevant Educational degree in Finance / Audit / Accounting. Demonstrates fluent ability to create insight from large data sets. Experience in creating, managing and continuously improving a consistent reporting suite. Demonstrates an experience and strong understand of management accounts and financial cycles. Demonstrates clear examples of effective working relationships and the understanding of how that relationship can help drive the business forward. Demonstrates effective communication to wider team of key financial variables. Ability to use MS Office packages and advanced Excel.
Desirable
Experience within a B2B global organisation.
Prior experience in Finance for industrial / distribution businesses.
