Management Accountant (Hybrid Role) – Warrington

Location

Hybrid role offering a combination of remote work and office presence at our Warrington site.

Contract Type

Permanent


The Opportunity

The Management Accountant provides accurate financial information, analysis, and insight to facilitate operational and strategic decision-making. This role focuses on cost control, performance reporting, and ensuring business efficiency to achieve financial objectives.


What You Will Be Doing

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
  • Analyse variances against budgets and forecasts, providing clear explanations
  • Deliver month-end activities in-line with established timetables, task lists, journal standards, and approval processes
  • Prepare month-end numbers by gaining deep knowledge of SYNC system for Goods Receipts and Accrued Income postings
  • Collaborate with RSIS commercial and FP&A functions to ensure clear reporting and analysis
  • Support senior management with ad hoc analysis and reporting needs
  • Monitor costs and identify areas for efficiency improvements
  • Analyse cost drivers to support cost reduction initiatives
  • Assist in maintaining balance sheet integrity by preparing and reviewing reconciliations and clearing aged balances and month-end close outputs
  • Support internal and external audit processes, resolving findings effectively
  • Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and reporting tools

What You’ll Bring

✅ Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) ✅ Strong analytical and numerical skills ✅ Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting ✅ Strong systems knowledge (e.g., ERP, planning tools, Excel, and Power BI) ✅ Advanced proficiency in Excel ✅ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills ✅ Commercial awareness and a problem-solving mindset
