Role: Management Accountant
As a Management Accountant, you will be an ambassador for Finance and one of the first ports of call for the agency for finance-related queries. You should be an enthusiastic self-starter with excellent attention to detail and written communication skills, along with strong analytical abilities. We’re looking for someone who’s competent in managing their workload under pressure and can take responsibility for meeting deadlines. You will also be required to assist colleagues during busy periods and to help cover team absences, so versatility is key.

The successful candidate will join the financial reporting team and will already have a good foundation understanding of finance and experience working within a similar role. What you’ll be doing:
- Independently preparing the monthly management accounts, including reviewing general ledger accounts, the preparation of manual journals (prepayments, accruals etc.), variance analysis and account reconciliations
- Ensuring the timely reporting of month-end and quarterly reporting
- Supporting with the input of the reporting package into the WPP Group reporting tool
- Ensuring adherence to the SOX compliant control environment
- Reviewing and reconciling month-end actuals reporting, ensuring sufficient supporting evidence for a full audit trail
- Assisting with year-end and interim audits
- Assisting the Financial Controller with the quarterly reforecasting and annual budget preparation
- Raising purchase orders for intercompany
- Providing support to the wider agency with various finance functions
What you’ll need:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a finance function, preferably within an agency environment or similar
- Part qualified ACCA/CIMA/Equivalent
- Experience of accounts preparation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to proactively manage workload to deliver multiple tasks and meet reporting deadlines
- Proficient with Excel and accounting software
