Management Accountant

Burton on Trent

£45,000 - £50,000 DOE

(Hybrid working available after training, 3 days office 2 days from home)

Are you a qualified Management Accountant looking for your next challenge within a large, fast-paced organisation?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established business seeking an experienced finance professional to join their Management Accounts team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering insightful financial reporting, supporting business performance, and influencing strategic decision-making.

Description of the role:

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and periodic financial reviews.
  • Analyse financial performance, investigating variances against budget, forecast and previous year.
  • Produce insightful reports and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure financial controls, procedures and processes are followed to maintain the integrity of financial information.
  • Support finance improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance reporting and business processes.
  • Work collaboratively across the wider finance function, providing support where required.

  • Fully qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
  • Previous experience within a large national or multinational organisation.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.
  • A resilient, self-motivated approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
