Interim Management Accountant
£300–£400 per day | 3 to 6 Month Contract (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
Bracknell | Hybrid Working (3 Days On-Site)

We're supporting a growing distribution and logistics business with operations across multiple European countries. The organisation partners with a portfolio of globally recognised brands, providing specialist distribution, supply chain and commercial support across a number of international markets. Following continued growth, the business is investing in its finance function to strengthen reporting, controls and operational processes.
This is an interim opportunity focused on supporting the Group finance team during a busy period of growth. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you'll take ownership of multiple European entities, preparing consolidated management accounts, managing complex intercompany accounting and strengthening financial controls across the group. Alongside BAU responsibilities, you'll support finance process improvements and help build a scalable finance function as the business continues to expand.
The Role
Reporting into the Group Finance Director, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function whilst ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple European entities.

This is a hands-on role suited to a technically strong accountant who enjoys working within a fast-paced, international environment and is comfortable rolling their sleeves up to improve processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple European entities.
- Produce consolidated Group management accounts and supporting reporting packs.
- Own month-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, and journals.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations across all European companies.
- Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and transfer postings.
- Maintain multiple accounting ledgers and ensure financial records remain accurate.
- Support cash flow reporting and reconciliation activities.
- Assist with financial controls, process improvements, and system enhancements.
- Work closely with the Group Finance Director and wider finance team to improve reporting and consistency across the business.

In an Ideal World, We Are Looking For:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- Previous experience within a Management Accountant or Financial Accountant role.
- Strong month-end, management accounts, and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
- Experience working within multi-entity, European, or international businesses.
- Confident managing intercompany accounting and consolidated reporting.
- Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP systems such as Xero.
- Immediately available and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business.
