A well-established and growing organisation is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its finance team in a fully office-based position. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to take ownership of the month-end process while supporting operational and strategic decision-making across the business.
Your new role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will be responsible for the production of accurate and timely management accounts, ensuring robust financial controls and providing meaningful analysis to support business performance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
- Posting and reviewing month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, payroll and overheads
- Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of strong financial controls
- Cash flow reporting, forecasting and oversight of payment processes
- Production of weekly financial and operational reports
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities
- Providing analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making
- Assisting with year-end audit requirements and ad-hoc finance projects
- Building strong relationships with operational stakeholders across the business

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and organised finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and excellent attention to detail.
You will ideally have:
- Part-qualified or finalist ACCA/CIMA status
- Previous experience producing management accounts from start to finish
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation and financial control experience
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using integrated accounting systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
