About the Team
In the UK, Accenture's Investment Banking practice sits within our Capital Markets industry segment, working with the world's leading investment banks, broker-dealers and sell-side institutions. Our clients are navigating an era of significant change, from regulatory reform and operational resilience requirements to the emergence of digital assets, tokenisation and new market infrastructure. Accenture's position at the intersection of business and technology means that more and more sell-side firms are turning to us to help shape and deliver their most critical transformation programmes.
About the Role
As an Investment Banking Consultant within Accenture’s Capital Markets practice, there will never be a typical day and that’s why people love it here.
Typical responsibilities may include:
- Assisting and collaborating with senior leaders to execute large-scale, complex transformation programs at investment banks, spanning business, operating model, process, people, and technology change.
- Developing deliverables such as presentations, reports and other documentation to enable delivery of end-to-end client transformation initiatives across the trading lifecycle (Front, Middle, Back Office, and Technology & Operations), including regulatory-driven change, platform modernization, and target operating model design.
- Conducting research and analysis by gathering and synthesizing data to generate insights that inform strategic decision-making and strategy development.
- Supporting sell-side clients in developing high-performance, future-ready solutions, including initiatives related to digital assets, tokenization, and emerging market infrastructure.
- Understanding evolving sell-side industry trends, client needs, develop relevant solutions and delivery high impact technology-enabled initiatives.

This is a client-facing consulting position, presenting an exciting and challenging opportunity to work with some of the world’s leading investment banks.
Required Skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in consulting or relevant roles specialising in Investment Banking, including experience and understanding of the end-to-end trading lifecycle and products including equities, fixed income, FX, commodities and derivatives.
- 2+ years of external consulting or programme management experience on large-scale programmes at sell-side institutions with a proven track record of successful engagement delivery within the industry.
- Exposure to or experience supporting major, complex transformation programmes at investment banks, including regulatory, operational or technology-driven change initiatives.
- Knowledge of the capital markets industry, including an understanding of Investment Banking client segments, product taxonomy and trading processes.
- Knowledge of digital assets and emerging financial market infrastructure, such as crypto markets, tokenised assets, digital custody or blockchain-enabled platforms.
- Understanding of operational resilience concepts within banking, including operational risk, business continuity, third-party risk management and regulatory resilience expectations.
- An appreciation of how technology, and increasingly AI, can contribute to solving clients' complex business challenges; comfort operating at the intersection of business and technology and a curiosity to continuously learn as the technology landscape evolves.
- Experience managing relationships with stakeholders across Front Office, Technology, Operations and Risk.
- Familiarity with sell-side trading platforms and/or regulations, such as Murex or Calypso.
- Excellent consulting and problem-solving skills; familiarity with recognised consulting frameworks and techniques; experience of research, quantitative analysis, structured problem solving and executive communication techniques.
- Proven presentation skills and personal impact, supported by first-class written and verbal communication skills; the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical and impactful manner.
- Strong client relationship development and client management skills.
- Good organisational, multi-tasking and time-management skills.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Flexibility to accommodate client travel and location requirements.
