Role Description

The Management Information System Officer is a part-time, on-site role based in Milton Keynes. This role is responsible for maintaining and updating management information systems, ensuring data is accurate, secure, and accessible to stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include collecting, validating, and processing data, producing regular and ad-hoc reports, and supporting performance monitoring across the College Group. The officer collaborates with academic and administrative teams to improve information workflows, troubleshoot system issues, and implement data quality standards. The role also involves supporting system upgrades, documenting processes, and contributing to continuous improvement of information management practices.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Management Information Systems (MIS) and Information Systems.
  • Candidates should possess strong Data Management and Information Management skills.
  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for interpreting data and producing clear reports.
  • Relevant experience working with educational or organizational data systems is beneficial.
  • A qualification in IT, data analytics, information management, or a related discipline is desirable.
  • Ability to work accurately with large datasets, manage deadlines, and communicate complex information clearly to non-specialist audiences.
