1ST GEAR! is our global 12-month Management Trainee Program, a dynamic programme designed to fast-track your way into a real leadership role from day one. This isn’t just an internships—you graduate into a leadership position, whether managing your own downtown branch or stepping into a high-performing airport team.
We’re looking for ambitious, curious, and proactive individuals ready to hands-on experience, take responsibility, and grow fast. If you want to make an impact, lead with confidence, and shape the future of mobility, 1ST GEAR! is your starting line.
Your Management Career Path at SIXT
- Own responsibility from day one – Contribute to operational goals, efficiency, and team success.
- Insights into key areas – Sales, Customer Service, Fleet Management, and Performance Management, while progressing through clear goals.
- Direct operational engagement – From day one, you’ll work as a Sales Executive, with training in communication, conflict resolution, sales techniques, and problem-solving.
- Leadership mentorship – Rotate under Branch Managers and Area Directors to develop on-the-job skills.
- Promotion into leadership – Upon successful completion, you’ll transition into a management role (business-need dependent). Relocation anywhere within the United Kingdom is required.

Skills & Experience We Seek
Academic & Professional Foundation
As graduates or early-career professionals, you’ll bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, management, or relevant professional experience in Sales, Customer Service, Tourism, Hospitality, or Management.
Core Attributes
- Leadership & Entrepreneurial Mindset – Initiates action, drives momentum, and collaborates without waiting for direction.
- Communication Excellence – Outstanding English skills (additional languages preferred).
- Proactive & Independent – Solves problems, owns tasks, and thrives without micromanagement.
- Adaptable & Flexible – Comfortable relocating to different branches & UK locations mid-programme, and prepared for a Guaranteed leadership role post-graduation.
Operational Fit
- Mobility Readiness –
- Valid driving license
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience
- Six points or fewer on license
Physical Preparation
Relocation is mandatory—carefully consider your readiness before applying.

- Assessment Centre date: Tuesday 25th August
- Programme start date: Monday 5th October
- Note: A leadership role is not guaranteed until relocation is commited anywhere in the UK.
