Management Trainee (Fast-Track to Branch Leadership) - Workington
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm, Saturdays 8:00am - 12:00pm
Joining our friendly and hard-working family as a Management Trainee, you'll be on the front line dealing with the trade and retail customers who come into our shop. As a key part of the Workington branch team, you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing first-class service while training to become a future business leader.
What You’ll Be Doing
Not one day is the same as the next in TP branch life, but your core focus will be mastering the operational and sales foundations required to run a successful merchant branch.
Leadership Development: This role is specifically designed for an professional looking to step up into an Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Manager position. You will actively learn how to become management material, with the long-term goal of progressing into a leadership role within our network. Cross-Functional Exposure: We will provide hands-on training across all key areas of the branch, including the Trade Counter, the Yard, Tool Hire, and Benchmarx Kitchens giving you the commercial exposure needed to succeed as a manager. Customer & Sales Focus: Our success is built on strong relationships. You will process customer orders, handle phone enquiries, manage stock, and ensure excellent merchandising. You'll get to know our regular trade customers on a first-name basis. Operations & Logistics: You will deal with supplier deliveries, accurately book stock into the branch systems, and help oversee logistics for our fleet of 2 HGVs and 1 van. Safety First: Safety is at the forefront of everything we do. You will maintain our strict safety standards, ensuring a tidy, secure, and hazard-free environment for the team and customers.
