At the heart of the programme is the Next Generation CFO Academy, which supports high-potential finance leaders as they prepare for one of the most influential roles in business and navigate the transition to CFO.
Working closely with senior finance executives, board members, and Deloitte leaders, you will help create exceptional experiences that inspire, challenge, and connect the next generation of CFOs. The programme includes the Academy, an annual CFO conference, exclusive coaching dinners, networking receptions, and a quarterly newsletter, that keep our community engaged throughout the year.
Since its launch in 2008, the CFO Programme has supported more than 1,500 senior finance leaders, building a highly influential network of alumni from some of the UK’s largest and most recognised organisations. Through world-class development experiences and peer connections, the programme has become a trusted platform for supporting finance leaders at pivotal moments in their careers.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile programme that sits at the intersection of leadership development, client engagement, and relationship building—helping Deloitte strengthen connections with some of its most important clients while shaping the future generation of CFOs.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
