The Role

This is not a back-office reporting job.

You'll be embedded directly into portfolio companies during critical transformation phases — post-acquisition carve-outs, ERP migrations, operational turnarounds. You'll often be the first analytics hire these businesses have ever had. You'll build from scratch, work with messy real-world data, and deliver insights that shape Board-level decisions and value creation plans.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You need to be someone who can operate independently, switch contexts fast, and communicate as comfortably with a plant manager as with a PE investment director.

What you'll do

  • Build dashboards and executive reporting from the ground up at newly acquired companies
  • Design scalable data models connecting fragmented ERPs, CRMs, and finance systems
  • Deliver financial analyses — P&L deep-dives, margin bridges, forecasting, and run-rate models
  • Build ETL/ELT pipelines, establish data quality standards, and assess data maturity
  • Leverage AI tools pragmatically to accelerate exploration, prototyping, and automation
  • Frame findings for Boards — not just charts, but narrative and recommendation
  • Train local teams to sustain reporting independently after your engagement ends

  • 5+ years in BI/analytics with strong Power BI experience (DAX, data modelling, Power Query)
  • Confident SQL skills across relational databases
  • Strong financial literacy — you can read a P&L and spot when numbers don't reconcile
  • Experience with ERP data (SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, or similar)
  • Proven ability to work autonomously in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Excellent communication skills — Board to plant floor
  • Willingness to travel across Europe (and occasionally North America)

Nice to have

  • Python for data analysis, automation, or pipeline development
  • Cloud platforms: Azure, Fabric, or Databricks
  • PE, consulting, or transformation background
  • Active use of AI/LLM tools as a genuine productivity multiplier
  • German language skills

What you'll get

  • A seat on a small, high-impact team where your work directly influences investment decisions
  • Genuine variety — new industries, geographies, and business models every engagement
  • Full exposure to the PE deal lifecycle and senior leadership across the portfolio
  • Autonomy and ownership from day one
