About the Role
The Enterprise Technology Services organization partner with every part of American Express to power the company’s growth and innovation with trust, efficiency, and competitive differentiation. We deliver and support technology, digital, and data capabilities—globally managing engineering, architecture, infrastructure, product management, technology risk, information security, and enterprise AI platforms.
Enterprise Digital Experiences (EDX) focuses on the product management of American Express’ proprietary digital products, including:
- Amex Mobile App
- Web experiences
- Digital Identity solutions
- Digital Commerce platforms
- Customer personalization capabilities
The team’s mission is to drive engagement, satisfaction, and revenue through best-in-class user experience, compelling features, and functionality, with a global scope that ensures American Express’ payment and related services shine in its digital ecosystem.
As a Manager, Digital Product Management within the Rewards & Redemptions team, you will:
- Partner with Designers, Engineers, Marketers, and cross-functional leadership.
- Lead the delivery of the product roadmap, prioritizing key projects that impact customer satisfaction, digital adoption, and business growth.
- Define the long-term strategy for Rewards & Redemptions, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
- Optimize and scale capabilities across markets while maintaining an outcome-first approach.
You will drive innovation while upholding American Express’ core values of trust, security, and service, shaping the product experience for millions of cardmembers.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Team Leadership
- Develop and execute the digital product vision and strategy for Rewards & Redemptions, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define and prioritize product features, initiatives, and roadmaps.
- Support agile delivery, partnering closely with Designers, Engineers, and Marketing teams to ensure vision is translated into executable products.
- Drive data-informed decision-making to optimize customer satisfaction, engagement, and digital adoption.

Business Growth & Relationship Management
- Enable revenue and ROI through innovative digital solutions that enhance rewards experiences.
- Champion a collaborative, cross-functional approach, advocating for customer-centricity across departments.
- Foster relationships with regional teams, business partners, and external vendors to drive global digitization.
Performance & Impact
- Lead high-impact projects that enhance conversations, transactions, and engagement in Rewards & Payment.
- Monitor, analyze, and translate data insights into actionable product strategies.
- Innovate using applied Technologist, Statistician, and Humanities tools and techniques to revolutionize program design.
- Streamline processes, automate workflows, and optimize operations for sustainable growth.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 6+ years in product management, UX design, analytics, or business strategy, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience in financial services, payments, digital transformation, or rewards programs.
Core Skills & Competencies
- Product Lifecycle Mastery: Proven ability to manage the full product lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap development to execution.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Expertise in interpreting customer analytics, behavioral insights, and financial performance to drive product decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience leading teams of Designers, Engineers, Marketers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Transformation & Innovation: Passionate about digitization, leveraging emerging technologies to innovate rewards programs.
- Presentation & Influence: Highly skilled in strategy formulation, roadmap execution, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- International Outlook: Driver role that works with a global team and multi-national stakeholders.
Training, Hiring, Development, and Personnel Policies (Relevant to Role)
Familiarity with American Express’ recruiting practices, risk governance, and compliance requirements is essential due to the finance sector’s regulatory environment.
