About The Role

As the Manager, Driver, UK, you will be a critical part of UK Driver Ops, reporting directly to the UK Head of Driver Operations. You will be responsible for some of the highest priority initiatives for UK mobility supply, which may include driver growth, experience, retention and actioning.

As your initial focus, you will spearhead the rapid expansion of our UK taxi business, with a strategic focus on the iconic London Black Cabs (LBC). This critical project sits at the intersection of supply-side execution, demand generation, marketplace strategy, and high-stakes stakeholder management. LBCs are globally recognized, and while Uber's presence is currently limited, this role presents a massive opportunity for market-shaping growth and scale.

You will assume full end-to-end ownership of Black Cab operations, encompassing driver acquisition, engagement, and retention; driving rider initiatives; launching strategic partnerships; and managing key external stakeholders. You will also lead the dedicated Black Cab pod, consisting of an operations manager, a field sales representative, and a driver specialist.

Success will require close collaboration with numerous local and international teams, including UK Driver, UK Marketplace, UK Rider, UK Regs, U4B, Policy, Legal, Business Development, Hailables, Product, and Tech.

What You'll Do

  • Own Uber's UK taxi business performance, with a focus on London Black Cabs
  • Own other high-priority UK mobility driver projects
  • Collaborate closely with the broader UK Driver Operations team.
  • Drive the strategy for Black Cab driver acquisition and onboarding, utilizing both direct channels (field sales, driver marketing, referrals) and key partners (meter/payment companies, fleets).
  • Manage and execute strategic partnerships
  • Accelerate Black Cab adoption among Uber riders through targeted incentives and innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Shape Black Cab compliance policies by providing well-informed recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for London Black Cabs and general UK taxi market topics.
  • Support taxi launches across the UK
  • Partner cross-functionally with leaders from UK Marketplace, UK Rider, UK Regs, U4B, Policy, Legal, Business Development, Hailables, Product, and Tech.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with essential external stakeholders, including partners, meter companies, driver unions, and fleets.
  • Mentor and lead team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
