Manager, Enterprise Applications

We're partnering with a global organisation that's investing heavily in its technology landscape following a major international transformation programme.
As part of the continued growth of its IT function, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced technology leader to manage a portfolio of business-critical enterprise SaaS applications used across multiple business functions including HR, Finance, Health & Safety, Cyber Security and Compliance.
This is a people leadership role, responsible for leading a team of application specialists while driving the operational excellence, governance and continual improvement of a growing enterprise application portfolio.
Reporting into the Director of Platforms Management, you'll lead a team responsible for the day-to-day ownership and evolution of a portfolio of enterprise applications that support thousands of users across a global organisation.
Working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architecture, cybersecurity and infrastructure teams, you'll ensure applications remain secure, reliable, compliant and aligned with changing business requirements.
Alongside the operational management of the existing application portfolio, you'll help shape governance standards and support the onboarding of new enterprise applications as the organisation continues to evolve.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team responsible for the support and technical ownership of multiple enterprise SaaS applications.
- Own the operational performance, availability, security and governance of the application portfolio.
- Develop application roadmaps and drive continual service improvement.
- Manage application lifecycle activities including upgrades, releases, patches and vendor roadmaps.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure applications remain compliant with internal governance, security and regulatory standards.
- Oversee application changes, releases and testing activities, working alongside development and QA teams where required.
- Manage third-party vendors and software suppliers to maximise service quality and value.
- Support the assessment and onboarding of new enterprise applications into the portfolio.
- Report on application performance, risks and improvement initiatives to senior leadership.

About You
We're keen to speak with technology leaders who have experience managing portfolios of enterprise applications within large, complex organisations.
This is not a cloud infrastructure or platform engineering role. Instead, we're looking for someone who understands how to lead teams responsible for SaaS applications, application support, product ownership and enterprise application governance.

You'll bring:
- Experience leading technical teams supporting enterprise applications.
- Strong stakeholder management across both IT and business functions.
- Experience managing SaaS applications throughout their lifecycle.
- An understanding of governance, security, compliance and operational excellence.
- Experience working with vendors and third-party software providers.
- Knowledge of application releases, testing, change management and continual improvement.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to operate across multiple business functions.
