Enterprise Risk Management - Non-Financial Risk Analyst & Governance Coordinator

The purpose-driven, high-performing team at Scotiabank seeks a dedicated and results-oriented professional to contribute to the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Europe function. This role entails oversight and analytical support for non-financial risk management, with a primary focus on risk control, governance, and policy management.
About the Role
You will:
- Provide expert risk oversight and governance support across European regulated entities and branch operations.
- Collaborate within a complex regulatory and governance framework, engaging with:
- Senior management
- Risk Committees & Board Committees
- Regulatory stakeholders (across Ireland, the UK, and Europe)
- Support key risk reportingactivities, including:
- Top & emerging risks, reputational risk, regulatory change, and risk governance.
- Operational risk, model risk, and recovery planning (as required).
This position enables cross-functional engagement with: ✔ Global & GBM Risk Management ✔ Business lines ✔ Control functions ✔ Enterprise stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Risk Governance
- Produce and coordinate:
- EXCO/CRO reporting (RAF metrics, strategic risk dashboard [UK], reputational risk dashboard, top emerging risks)
- Regulatory & Board reports
- GRM Control & Governance updates
- Conduct horizon-scanning for GRM (Global Risk Management) risks, liaise with risk SMEs, and assess impact before reporting to ERCG (Enterprise Risk Committee & Governance).

Support & Collaboration
- Assist the Risk Assurance Team with ad-hoc projects/deliverables.
- Collaborate with ERM team members to ensure cohesive risk oversight.
- Build and manage relationships with key global-risk stakeholders.
Stakeholder & Policy Management
- Foster a customer-focused culture to strengthen client relationships.
- Ensure day-to-day risk management activities align with Bank risk appetite and culture. -Champion effectiveness, efficiency, and regulatory compliance in all operations.
- Drive inclusivity and high performance in alignment with Scotiabank’s vision, values, and strategy.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- University degree or MBA in Risk Management, Finance, or related field (ideally within a capital markets environment).
- Prior experience in:
- Non-financial risk (reputational, regulatory, operational, or model risk)
- Governance, compliance, or control functions (first-line or risk-focused roles preferred).
- Market knowledge: Understanding of derivatives, securities, and stakeholder demands in capital markets.
