Job Description
IQ EQ Group upholds the highest standards of legal, ethical, and regulatory compliance, ensuring integrity and global reputation protection. The Group Risk & Compliance (GRC) function supports the:
- Board
- Senior management
by delivering an integrated risk compliance framework. The role supports regulatory obligations and strategy execution.
As Manager, Group Financial Crime Compliance, you’ll help design, implement, and enhance the Group’s:
- Financial Crime Compliance programmes
- Risk Management frameworks aligned with evolving threats.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Group Head of Financial Crime (GHFCC) and global teams to:
- Develop robust controls
- Promote best practices across jurisdictions
- Ensure employees fulfil financial crime prevention obligations.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Compliance and Risk Management
- Support and enhance Financial Crime (FC) risk management/compliance across critical areas:
- Money laundering
- Terrorist and proliferation financing
- Sanctions regime compliance
- Bribery and corruption prevention
- Fraud detection
- Tax evasion mitigation
- Ensure alignment with global regulations and industry best practices.

Risk Framework Development
- Lead Financial Crime policies, Business Risk Assessments (BRAs), and risk registers, including:
- Industry risk assessments
- Accurate tracking, analysis, escalation, and risk remediation.
- Maintain governance over key risk registers and emerging risks.
Client Controls and Compliance Culture
- Oversee client risk assessment tools, screening systems, and risk-based training programmes.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure:
- Effective implementation
- Data integrity
- Strong compliance culture across the Group.
Strategic and Stakeholder Engagement
- Horizon scanning and regulatory interpretation to anticipate industry trends.
- Drive internal communications via alerts, forums, and blogs, translating compliance requirements into practical controls and framework improvements.

Qualifications
About You
- Education: Degree in Law or Financial Regulations (e.g., LLB, LLM, or Law with Finance/Banking specification).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in financial services, ideally within:
- Second-line Financial Crime compliance for large, global multi-regulatory groups.
- Communication: Fluency in written and spoken English, with strong reporting and presentation skills.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting, analysis and presentations.
- Proven technical skills in:
- Drafting procedures and training materials
- Data review and analysis
- Issue management
- Policy development
