Manager, Investigator Site Budgets & Contracts

ICON plc is a world-leading healthcare intelligence and clinical research organization. We foster an inclusive environment driving innovation and excellence, welcoming you to join our mission to shape the future of clinical development.

About the Role

As a Manager, Investigator Site Budgets & Contracts at ICON, you will need extensive experience with Grants Manager/GrantPlan, ensuring accurate budgeting across Phase 1–IV studies. The ideal candidate will provide critical input into scenario planning and assess its impact on study budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site budget generation and review: Oversee the development and management of investigator site budgets linked to investigator grants (IGs) using Grants Manager.
  • Support Clinical Operations teams: Provide up-front and ongoing strategic financial planning, ensuring budgets align with program and study needs.
  • Benchmarking & forecasting: Utilise internal, CRO-provided Investigator Grant (IG) reference data and Fair Market Value (FMV) tools to create budget estimates for forecasting.
  • FMV-based IG budget development: Lead or support the creation of target FMV-based IG budgets and negotiation parameters (focusing on infectious disease, oncology, and/or therapeutics within an outsourced CRO model).
  • Cross-program alignment: Act as the Primary Point of Contact (POC) for all CRO site budget activities, ensuring global investigator site budgets and negotiation parameters align with GCP and FMV principles.
  • Contract documents: Directly manage and track negotiatons for Investigator Site CTAs/budgets, maintaining consistency across studies and therapeutic areas.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
