About Us

Our Technology Services function, within Fund Services, is responsible for managing and maintaining the technology platforms that underpin our investment operations. Based in London, this role supports the global investment function by ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our investment platforms.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a cross-functional team at a pivotal stage of our technology evolution. As Manager, Investment Platforms Support, you’ll play a key role in enabling high-quality investment decision making by ensuring our platforms are reliable, innovative, and aligned to the needs of a global asset owner.

You’ll lead a team of technical specialists and engineers, providing first- and second-line support for investment colleagues globally, and managing a suite of critical investment systems including SWIFT, Nasdaq Calypso, BlackRock Aladdin, S&P iLevel, AlphaCert ODS, and more.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and manage a cross-functional team to deliver 24/7 Investment Platform Support services across all areas of the Fund.
  • Drive uplift in the team’s support capability globally, ensuring the right skills, processes, and support structures are in place.
  • Ensure technology platforms and operational support models meet the international needs of the Fund.
  • Oversee monitoring and reporting across all investment platforms, ensuring service levels and standards are met.
  • Champion automation and continuous improvement across technology and the Fund.
  • Work closely with project and delivery teams to design and build operational support processes for new implementations.
  • Support the transition of new services to operations and help drive the move towards a DevSecOps model.
  • Motivate and inspire your team and vendor partners, embedding a Members First culture and driving high performance.
  • Nurture internal and external relationships, collaborating with vendors and partners to ensure service continuity.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislative and organisational requirements, and advocate for continuous improvement in governance and risk management.

What You’ll Bring

You’re a technology leader who is passionate about enabling the business through technology, and you thrive on automation and continuous improvement.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in technology management roles, with a proven track record of success in leadership positions.
  • Experience leading, managing, and motivating teams of technology professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of the superannuation, wealth management, and investment industries.
  • Understanding of Front, Middle, and Back Office processes to bridge the gap between business and technology.
  • In-depth experience across a range of investment platforms, ideally including BlackRock Aladdin, Nasdaq Calypso, S&P iLevel, SWIFT, Execution Management Systems (e.g. Bloomberg EMS, FXAll, TradeWeb, FlexTrader), and investment data management solutions (e.g. Finbourne, GoldenSource, Eagle).
  • Advanced experience engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
  • Experience in a fast-growing technology function or company.
  • Highly developed leadership and people management capabilities, including developing high-performing, sustainable teams and culture.
  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a strong growth mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate strategies and concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure situations.
  • High level of personal integrity and the ability to handle confidential matters professionally.
  • Ability to develop and maintain high-quality relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Global experience, ideally in Europe, the United States and/or Asia.
  • Tertiary qualifications in technology, business, or commerce disciplines.
  • ITIL certification.
