King & Spalding is seeking a Manager, Lateral Partner Recruiting & Integration, working with the Chief of Lateral Partner Recruiting & Integration and Directors of Lateral Partner Recruiting & Integration. The Manager will coordinate and facilitate the hiring and integration process, for all newly joined lateral partners, with particular focus on Corporate, Finance & Restructuring, Government Matters & Regulation, International Disputes, and Real Estate & Funds. The Manager will also support integration planning and market intelligence efforts to strengthen the firm’s ability to attract and onboard high calibre lateral talent. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate and help facilitate the end-to-end lateral partner recruitment process, ensuring a high touch candidate and stakeholder experience including preparing and sending candidate pre-interview materials, updating and maintaining candidate pre-interview materials and working with Sponsoring Partners and Leads to draft talking points for candidates across European, Middle East and Asia-Pacific offices. Act as a key point of contact for candidates, search firms and internal stakeholders, helping to manage interview logistics, scheduling adjustments and process communications across multiple time zones. Assist Leads with drafting compensation proposals, ensuring conflicts checks are being conducted, and integration plan is being developed and executed for incoming partners. Collaborate with the General Counsel’s office and external counsel, as needed, on offer documentation, jurisdiction-specific issues and other matters related to international hiring. Build working knowledge of partner compensation structures, including jurisdictional and role-based variations, to support recruiting leads and internal decision-making. Work closely with HR and office leadership on visa-related matters and other employment logistics affecting international hires. Coordinate external diligence reports, monitor findings and escalate potential issues or red flags in a timely manner. Support interview coverage, candidate communications and meeting monitoring outside U.S. business hours when needed to ensure seamless international process management. Contribute to market mapping efforts, maintain relationships with international search firms and track developments in the partner lateral market. Share relevant market intelligence, competitive insights and hiring trends with recruiting colleagues and business stakeholders. Prepare and support recruiting materials, including talking points, candidate summaries and integration-related documents for international candidates. Work with Leads and Sponsoring Partners to prepare first draft of PC memos. Prepare first draft of offer letters for the Leads review and coordinate revisions and execution. Partner with the international associate recruiting team to ensure effective handoff of information and support for follow-on hiring opportunities. Provide support on U.S.-based candidate processes as needed, particularly where coordination with international stakeholders is required. As appropriate, coordinate candidate travel via Travel Department working with the coordinators. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required. A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in law firms or professional service firms. Excellent judgement, discretion and organisational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders with professionalism and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively across cultures, jurisdictions and time zones. Proven ability to work with time-sensitive and confidential matters. Strong attention to detail. Able to work both independently and collaboratively with professionals and staff at all levels. Confident in using Microsoft suite and ATS systems.
