About the Role

To lead, develop, and deploy strategic manufacturing engineering (ME) initiatives that deliver significant product and operating cost reductions, drive technology adoption, and enhance workforce capability across Civil Manufacturing Operations. The role will focus on the establishment and embedding of frameworks, business cases, and governance models that enable the delivery and scaling of technology-driven benefits, with a particular emphasis on the MUSIC program and associated cost reduction opportunities.


What you will be doing

  • Establish and Deploy Strategic ME Cost Prioritisation & Business Case Framework
  • Deliver Strategic Product Cost Reduction Through Technology and Industrialisation
  • Deliver and Scale Technology-Driven Operating Cost Reduction Across MBUs
  • Establish and Embed MUSIC as a Manufacturing Technology Deployment Framework
  • Deliver MUSIC/Technology Programmes into Operations and Workforce Capability Growth
  • Scale and Replicate MUSIC Technologies for Civil-wide Value

Position qualifications

  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering within a complex, high-technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost reduction methodologies, technology readiness frameworks (TRL/BRL/ERL), and business case development.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver technology-driven cost and productivity improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in process analysis and improvement.

Desirable

  • Experience with Rolls-Royce systems (e.g., CRISP, ICOST).
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in deploying large-scale technology programs (e.g. SAMULET, MUSIC).
