Manager, Market Oversight Strategy

Manager, Market Oversight Strategy – Lloyd’s

About the Organisation

Lloyd’s is the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace. We share the collective intelligence and risk-sharing expertise of the market’s brightest minds, working together for a braver world.

Our role is to inspire courage, so tomorrow’s progress isn’t limited by today’s risks.

We operate with a set of shared values:

  • We are brave
  • We come together as one to be stronger
  • We do the right thing, guiding our actions and decisions

If you share these values and a passion for building a more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive future, you belong here.

At Lloyd’s, we’re actively shaping the future of insurance. As a global leader, we unite skilled minds to tackle complex challenges and drive meaningful progress. Our strategy is centred on delivering exceptional underwriting performance, creating an efficient marketplace, and reinforcing the strength of the Lloyd’s market—but "how" we deliver matters just as much.

We take risks, execute bold ideas, and fully own the outcomes.

This is where you can make a difference.

The Role

As Manager, Market Oversight Strategy, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we oversee risk across the Lloyd’s market.

In this high-impact position, you’ll drive the evolution of our Principles-Based Oversight (PBO) framework, ensuring it remains ahead of the curve—and forward-looking, risk-focused, and built for an ever-changing world.

This role bridges strategic thinking and hands-on action. You’ll transform insights into tangible changes, collaborating with senior stakeholders to enhance how we identify, assess, and respond to market risks.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead strategic initiatives to make market oversight more effective, efficient, and risk-informed
  • Develop a forward-looking view of market risks, adapting to emerging trends, regulations, and evolving business models
  • Continuously improve the PBO framework to keep pace with market demands
  • Gather cross-functional insights to assess and enhance the framework’s overall effectiveness
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to improve risk management across the market
  • Engage with regulators and market participants to shape oversight priorities
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and constructive challenge

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
