Manager, Market Oversight Strategy

Manager, Market Oversight Strategy – Lloyd’s

About Lloyd’s

Lloyd’s is the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace, where we harness the collective intelligence and risk-sharing expertise of global minds. Our purpose is to inspire courage, overcoming today’s challenges so future progress isn’t limited by risk.

We live by four core shared values:

  • We are brave
  • We are stronger together
  • We do the right thing
  • We shape what we do and how we act

If you share these values and the passion for building a more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive future, Lloyd’s is your home. Join us to build a braver future—together.

The Role

At Lloyd’s, we’re shaping the future of insurance, uniting the world’s sharpest professionals to address complex global challenges. Our strategy is clear: drive strong underwriting performance, build an efficient and flexible marketplace, and maximise the Lloyd’s market’s potential.

But impact matters just as much as execution. We take bold risks, make things happen, and own the results.

This is your moment to shape that future.

Key Responsibilities

As Manager, Market Oversight Strategy, you will play a critical role in evolving Lloyd’s Principles-Based Oversight (PBO) framework. This is where insight meets action—turning forward-thinking strategies into tangible improvements across the market.

You will:

  • Lead strategic initiatives to enhance market oversight, ensuring it is more effective, efficient, and risk-led
  • Shape a dynamic risk framework that adapts to emerging trends, regulatory changes, and evolving business models
  • Drive continuous improvement of the PBO—making it future-fit for dynamic markets
  • Collate and synthesise insights from oversight teams to strengthen framework governance and effectiveness
  • Foster collaboration with senior stakeholders to improve how risk is identified, assessed, and managed
  • Engage regulators and market participants to align oversight priorities with broader industry needs
  • Champion a culture of curiosity, constructive challenge, and collective problem-solving

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
