Deloitte’s Banking Operations & Domain Solutions team works at the forefront of digital innovation and technology change in the banking sector. Our clients engage us to collaborate on many interesting and complex problems ranging from transforming legacy technology, to advising on integrations and separations, all the way through to designing and building brand new digital banks and propositions. We design, build and operate next generation banking operations.

As part of the Banking Operations & Domain Solutions practice, you’ll be working with a multitude of market leading teams from Deloitte to deliver value to our clients across the delivery lifecycle. Starting from strategy and proposition definition, to detailed operations and technology design, and being part of engineering and implementation teams to deliver for our clients. We have a diverse team with vast knowledge, experience and backgrounds enabling us to provide the best value to our clients.

Connect to your opportunity

  • Working as part of a team of industry specialists providing consulting services across major banking clients, so you will quickly build upon your existing industry knowledge to become an expert in your field
  • Primarily focusing on the delivery of client work that will successfully fulfil and exceed client expectations and deliver engagement and programme objectives
  • Owning clear deliverables and leading small work streams and starting to develop strong long-term client relationships with aim to be recognized as a trusted business advisor in the Retail & Commercial Banking sector
  • Participate fully within Deloitte to assist the growth of the Banking Operations & Domain Solutions team, develop, and guide junior colleagues, and support the firm's commitment to creating a more diverse and inclusive culture

Connect to your skills and professional experience

Essentials:

  • Delivery experience within a consulting firm at a retail or commercial bank, building society or similar institution. Internal consulting experience, or change management experience in similar institutions is also acceptable
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the UK banking industry and market, including macro trends such as customer, regulatory, economic and business factors and disruptive technologies (such as Generative AI, Automation and Intelligent Process Optimisation) that are driving change and transforming the business models of key institutions
  • Experience of delivering small projects or leading workstreams on transformations such as target operating model design and implementation, automation, migrations, re-platforming, business integration and separation, process re-engineering or cost reduction
  • Excellent project and programme management capabilities including production of detailed project plans, key quality programme deliverables and delivering to strict time constraints
  • Excellent ability in Microsoft Office, particularly in Powerpoint and Excel
  • Exceptional communication and people skills, ability to liaise with stakeholders and team members of varying seniority
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work on diverse teams with a diverse range of people
  • Enthusiasm and passion for the delivery of market leading solutions that make a difference

Desirable:

  • An understanding of the diverse requirements of clients and the need to work on projects in differing geographies and time zones
  • Experience of working in Agile delivery environments
  • Demonstrable potential to manage functional teams
  • An understanding of risk, how to mitigate risk and protect the firm’s reputation

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
