If you want to do career-defining work, you’ve come to the right place. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact.
With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.
The Role
Checkout.com is looking for a strategic, resourceful, and highly-driven Process Architecture Manager to lead the charge on operational excellence within our Finance function.
You will not only design processes—which is a key part of this role—but also help define the framework for how we scale FinOps globally.
You will act as a partner to Finance leadership, identifying macro-level inefficiencies and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Partner with senior Finance leaders (AP, Treasury, Tax, Accounting) to identify critical operational bottlenecks and prioritise initiatives that deliver the highest ROI.
- Establish standards, methodologies, and toolkits (e.g., BPMN standards, documentation templates) to ensure consistency and quality across all process improvement projects.
- Own the end-to-end architecture of complex, cross-functional workflows, ensuring our financial operations scale seamlessly.
- Define and oversee the reporting of key operational KPIs; identify systemic performance gaps and hold the business accountable for agreed-upon improvements.
- Lead the change management aspect of process re-engineering, ensuring that new workflows are adopted smoothly by global teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
