WHAT MAKES US A GREAT PLACE TO WORK We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world’s best places to work. We are currently the top ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list and have earned the #1 overall spot a record seven times. Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy, but these don’t happen by chance. They require intentional focus on bringing together a broad set of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment in which every individual can thrive professionally and personally. WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You’ll join our Technology Services Group, a team focused on building and delivering innovative, user-centric digital products that power how Bain works. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across engineering, design, product, and business teams to deliver high-impact solutions that improve productivity and create meaningful business value across the firm. WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM As a Product Owner, you’ll lead the vision, prioritization, and delivery of a key performance management product at Bain. This role will help re-imagine an existing process of strategic importance to the firm, ensuring the tools that support it create clear value for users and the business. Acting as the voice of the customer, you’ll translate product road maps into clear priorities for cross-functional teams, balancing user needs, business impact, and technical feasibility. Through close collaboration with stakeholders and data-led decision-making, you’ll drive the evolution, adoption, and continuous improvement of the product and its broader platform, including emerging AI-enabled capabilities. WHAT YOU’LL DO Product planning and stakeholder engagement You’ll translate the product strategy and road map into a clear, actionable plan, partnering with business and technology stakeholders to align priorities and support informed decision-making. You’ll build a deep understanding of customer segments, user needs, and value drivers, using KPIs, user feedback, and pilots to measure impact and continuously refine the roadmap. You’ll also lead end-user communication, training, and adoption strategies, while collaborating with other product teams to create seamless, integrated user experiences across Bain’s tools and platforms. Product delivery You’ll inspire and guide product teams by clearly communicating the product vision and business value. You’ll own and continuously prioritize the product backlog to maximize outcomes, working closely with engineering teams and vendors to deliver enhancements, releases, and ongoing optimization. You’ll write user stories with clear acceptance criteria, actively participate in Agile ceremonies, and support integration and usability improvements across systems and tools. As needed, you may also manage contributors such as contractors or rotational team members. Domain expertise You’ll build and maintain expertise in Bain’s internal systems, external market trends, and the evolving needs of users. You’ll collaborate with technical teams to ensure product and technology strategies are closely aligned. ABOUT YOU You bring 5–8+ years of relevant experience in product ownership, product management, or a related field. You have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product development practices, along with hands-on experience working with software products, defining requirements, and resolving product issues. You are comfortable influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving alignment across business and technology teams. You communicate clearly, translating complex concepts into practical direction for different audiences. You use data, user insight, and business judgement to prioritize effectively and make thoughtful trade-offs. Experience managing or collaborating with external vendors is a plus. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. This role follows a hybrid working model, requiring in-office presence during the week.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
