Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex Payments initiatives, demanding strong execution, close collaboration with engineering, and expertise in regulated, high-availability platform environments.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Own end-to-end project delivery, from initial planning through deployment and stabilisation
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, dependencies, risk assessments, and governance structures
- Partner with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Payments Operations to drive delivery execution
- Manage initiatives that involve payment transaction flows, system integrations, and processing platforms
- Monitor delivery metrics, provide transparent status updates, and proactively escalate issues
- Ensure security, compliance, and regulatory adherence throughout the project lifecycle
- Facilitate delivery ceremonies (e.g., sprints, retrospectives) and promote strong documentation and operational readiness

What You Bring
(Essential and Preferred Experience)
Must-Have
- 8+ years of hands-on project management experience, with proficiency in Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery models
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and strong history of collaboration with Engineering and QA teams
- Experience managing projects involving APIs, microservices, databases, message brokers, and high-volume transactional systems
- Proven track record in Payments or financial services, including familiarity with transaction lifecycles and system integrations
- Knowledge of security, compliance (PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.) and regulatory standards specific to Payments
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills across diverse teams
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with specific payment rails (e.g., Cards, Real-Time Payments, ACH, Cross-Border Payments, Merchant Processing)
- Hands-on exposure to performance tuning, scalability, and resiliency initiatives for critical payment platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release management in regulated financial environments
- Experience leading regulatory, audit, or compliance-driven projects (e.g., PCI audits, data protection initiatives)
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, SAFe®/SAFe Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent)
