Job Title: CQC Registered Manager / Designated Manager – Domiciliary Care

Location: Leeds (LS17)
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Project leading to Permanent
Hours: Hybrid/Remote during CQC registration phase, transitioning to Full-Time upon successful registration

Salary:

  • Fixed project fee of £1,200–£1,800 for completing the CQC registration process (paid in agreed stages)
  • Upon successful registration and service launch: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable CQC Registered Manager / Designated Manager to support the launch of a brand-new domiciliary care service based in Leeds. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in establishing a new care provider from the ground up. During the initial registration phase, you will lead the service through the full CQC registration process, ensuring all documentation, policies, and procedures meet regulatory requirements. Following successful registration and the commencement of service delivery, the role will transition into a permanent full-time Registered Manager position, leading the operational delivery of the service. This position would suit an experienced Registered Manager with a strong understanding of CQC compliance, governance, and domiciliary care who is looking to make a real impact within a growing organisation.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager within domiciliary care
  • Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, Fundamental Standards, and the registration process
  • Experience preparing and submitting successful CQC registration applications
  • Knowledge and experience using QCS policies and compliance systems
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Up-to-date mandatory training and satisfactory employment references
  • Ability to work independently while supporting the development of a new service

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the organisation through the full CQC registration process
  • Prepare and submit the CQC registration application and Statement of Purpose
  • Review and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards
  • Act as the Registered Person / Designated Manager throughout the registration process
  • Provide guidance on compliance, governance, risk assessments, and quality assurance
  • Prepare the service for CQC inspection and operational launch
  • Transition into the role of Registered Manager, overseeing the day-to-day management of the domiciliary care service once operational
  • Support the recruitment, development, and leadership of the care team as the service grows
