Position Summary
The Manager, Rebate Forecast Tools Management is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and execution of rebate forecasting tools and processes within Caremark Underwriting. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and reliable forecasting outputs by managing model inputs, supporting analysis of rebate-related assumptions, and coordinating cross-functional activities tied to pricing and forecasting deliverables. The Manager will serve as a subject matter resource for rebate forecasting processes, contributing to both ongoing operational execution and broader strategic initiatives related to underwriting tools and methodologies. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Rebate Forecasting & Model Support
- Support the execution and maintenance of rebate forecasting processes, including updates to model inputs, tables, and supporting assumptions.
- Assist with ongoing maintenance of forecasting tools, including updates to rates, modifiers, and override logic as needed.
- Contribute to coding and troubleshooting within forecasting tools (e.g., formula-based logic and model structures).
Analysis & Reporting
- Perform ad hoc analyses and reporting to support rebate forecasting decisions, including evaluation of formulary changes, pricing strategies, and forecasting assumptions.
- Support factor analysis and investigation of changes in forecast outputs, including identification of key drivers and validation of results.
- Assist in developing materials and summaries to support leadership review and decision-making processes.
Forecasting Process & Seasonal Support
- Support key forecasting cycles and periodic processes (e.g., bid support, annual refreshes, and assumption reviews), ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Review and validate updates to forecasting assumptions, including confirmation of new or retiring strategies.

Testing & Quality Assurance
- Participate in cross-team testing efforts, including end-to-end validation of forecasting outputs with underwriting and partner teams.
- Support quality control processes, including review of model outputs, reconciliation activities, and issue identification/tracking.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with stakeholders across Underwriting, Trade, Pricing Strategy, and tool development teams to gather requirements, resolve issues, and ensure alignment on deliverables.
- Coordinate feedback intake and issue tracking processes, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of identified items.
- Support communication and alignment across teams involved in rebate forecasting tool development and execution.
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Maintain and update documentation related to rebate forecasting tools, assumptions, and processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and transparency of rebate forecasting processes and tools.
- Support team-level metrics, reporting, and tracking of key activities where required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, underwriting, actuarial, forecasting, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and model-based analysis.
- Experience working with structured datasets and performing data validation and reconciliation across multiple inputs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively under tight timelines.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex analytical findings and support cross-functional discussions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in PBM, healthcare, underwriting, or pricing/forecasting environments.
- Familiarity with rebate forecasting concepts, contract interpretation, or pricing assumptions.
- Experience supporting model testing, validation, and release processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization and coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, business, or a related quantitative discipline (or equivalent experience).

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is: $54,300.00 - $159,120.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
