Key Responsibilities

As Manager, Risk & Compliance, you’ll ensure robust oversight of compliance and risk management for the B2B division at Expedia Group. Your role blends strategic strategy with hands-on execution:

  • Oversee B2B Compliance

    • Manage daily activities and requirements for the B2B Risk & Compliance Program, focusing on third-party partnerships.
    • Address compliance-related inquiries, assessments, and attestations.
  • Liaise with Audits and Third Parties

    • Support and coordinate partner audits, including planning and coordination.
    • Act as EG’s representative for third-party audits.
  • Risk Management Leadership

    • Manage the B2B component of the EG Enterprise Risk Management Program, maintaining the risk register and collaborating with broader EG risk teams.
    • Execute risk assessments and audit projects on the B2B business.

  • Streamline and Monitor Compliance

    • Plan and deploy new compliance monitoring tools, ensuring they align with EG’s contractual obligations.
    • In partnership with business leaders, develop procedures to detect, prevent, and mitigate compliance violations.
    • Manage operational, regulatory, and reputational risks, analyzing business practices against existing policies and recommending improvements.
  • Develop Robust Policies and Partnership Agreements

    • Ensure all new partner agreements are finalised in compliance with obligations.
    • Oversee track-and-resolution processes for compliance-related actions and maintain internal controls.
  • Foster Internal and External Collaboration

    • Communicate with cross-functional stakeholders, creating actionable insights for partners and senior leaders.
    • Collaborate across teams to align with broader EG business initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications

With ambition, detail-orientation, and leadership, you’ll thrive in this pivotal role. We seek candidates with the following expertise:

Essential Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (i.e. finance, business, law, compliance, risk) or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a corporate environment, specialising in:
    • Audit, compliance management, risk management, or process improvements.
    • Effective internal controls design and execution.
  • Strong track record in people management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Highly developed risk assessment capabilities, including identification, prioritisation, and mitigation.

Preferred Experience

  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of information security, banking regulations, and/or operational standards.
  • Exposure to interfacing with complex commercial partnerships in dynamic environments.

Additional Notes

  • This remote/flexible role requires onsite presence at least 3 days a week in London or Madrid, with no relocation assistance.
  • Express interest in English.
  • Salary Information: The starting pay range in Madrid is €53,000 to €74,500, with potential to rise to €85,000 based on performance (subject to review).
