Netflix Security & Intelligence Role
Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.
The Security & Intelligence (S&I) team supports our studio functions globally, including Netflix productions across all content verticals. This role plays a key part in assessing risk for an evolving production strategy in the dynamic EMEA region. The S&I team collaborates with physical production and external production partners to provide security guidance and intelligence support throughout the production lifecycle. We work with stakeholders to understand a production’s security needs and provide information and solutions to identify, mitigate, and respond to risk.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to keeping Netflix productions safe, secure, and resilient
- Evaluate production plans for security needs and coordinate appropriate local support
- Provide security support to productions when they are faced with complex risk factors, such as high-profile talent or IP, confidentiality needs, or challenging external security environments
- Develop and review risk assessments and security guidelines, and design security plans and specialized guidance for higher-risk production activities, including physical protection of content/IP
- Engage and collaborate with relevant local partners and help shape the regional production security resource portfolio
- Provide stabilisation and management support for production security incidents
- Maintain collaborative relationships with key production stakeholders and cross-functional partners
- Collect and analyse local intelligence and risk signals to support production planning and security design
- Brief a wide range of internal and external stakeholders on security plans and impactful developments
- Clearly communicate risks to stakeholders and support them in implementing appropriate controls

Qualifications
- Relevant experience in areas such as security, intelligence, military, journalism, or related fields, with a focus on regional security issues
- Experience in production, media/entertainment, or content creation
- Degree in Security Studies, International Relations, or a related field is welcome but not required
- Experience living and/or working internationally, with strong regional work experience
- Fluency in English; additional regional languages are welcome

Skills And Capabilities
- Ability to interpret regional security signals, assess risk, and propose proportionate responses
- Ability to maintain awareness of risk trends affecting the global entertainment sector
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to travel regionally and internationally as required (approximately 25%), including flexibility around time zones and local contexts where relevant
