About the Role
We’re hiring a Manager, SEO Content & AI Search Optimization (SEM) to sit within the SEM team and focus on optimizing the content used by AI-powered search and ads—features that enhance query matching, dynamically optimize ad creatives, and refine landing page targeting for search campaigns. This is a high-visibility, individual contributor role that partners closely with SEM, SEO, Product & Tech, Analytics, and external media partners.
Responsibilities
Content & AI Search Optimization
- Own the intersection of SEO content and AI-powered SEM asset optimization
- Evaluate how search and ad platforms use landing page content to generate creative and select final URLs
- Identify opportunities to improve messaging to work for both SEO and SEM while staying on-brand and compliant
Collaboration with Teams
- Partner with SEO and Product teams to:
- Collaborate on testing and optimizing meta elements and on-page content used by AI-driven search and ad features
- Help shape a shared experimentation roadmap across search snippets and landing pages to improve relevance and performance

Experimentation & Data-Driven Decision Making
- Design and run structured experiments with SEM Ops and Analytics, including:
- Defining hypotheses and conducting A/B and multivariant tests
- Building robust measurement frameworks for messaging and landing-page strategies
- Translating results into clear recommendations and scalable playbooks
Representation & External Partnerships
- Act as a primary SEO/SEM point of contact with key search partners, including:
- Providing structured feedback and feature requests
- Evaluating and validating new AI capabilities to improve control, transparency, and reporting for large-scale advertisers
Analytics & Reporting
- Build reporting and decision support with Analytics, such as:
- Partnering with data engineering to design dashboards tracking adoption and performance of [AI-powered search features] and related tests
- Querying large datasets using SQL and analyzing with Python to validate insights
- Monitoring changes in AI-driven behavior over time
Documentation & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Write clear, concise documentation including:
- Briefs, test plans, experiment read-outs, operating guidelines, and FAQs
- Translate complex AI behavior into understandable content for non-experts
- Lead recurring forums and working sessions with SEM, SEO, Product & Tech, Analytics, and external partners to:
- Align on roadmap, status, and decisions
Championing AI-Assisted Workflows
- Experiment with LLMs and AI agents to automate repetitive work, such as:
- Content audits
- Clustering
- Pattern detection
- Test ideation
- Share best practices and help the team adopt AI responsibly and effectively
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Extensive experience in SEO (technical and/or content):
- Expertise in title tags, meta descriptions, schema, internal linking, and search engine evaluation of landing pages
- Comfortable collaborating on continuous testing and optimization with product and engineering teams
- SEM curiosity (preferred) (experience not required, passion for AI-powered search features encouraged)
- Familiarity with keywords, match types, Quality Score, landing page experience, bidding
- Product-minded, data-driven individual contributor (IC) at manager-level:
- Background as a product-adjacent PM, growth/marketing PM, or similar role operating with multi-stakeholder scope
- Strong analytical skills — fluent in SQL and other data tools
- Proven ability to design experiments and drive data-informed decisions
- Strong inter-personal communication and documentation skills:
- Ability to translate technical/AI concepts into plain language for engineers, marketers, and leadership
- Demonstrated written communication and inclination to create reliable documentation
- AI/automation enthusiast with:
- Hands-on generative AI tool experience
- Strong interest in scaling workflows via automation
