Social Media Manager – British Vogue

About the Role
Vogue seeks a strategic and creative Social Media Manager to join our team, embedded within British Vogue’s editorial team. This collaborative role involves partnering with editors and writers to elevate Vogue’s storytelling across social media, driving audience engagement, growth, and traffic.
The Social Media Manager will grow British Vogue’s loyal following by increasing engagement, social referrals, and overall reach across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and Pinterest.
Candidates must blend strategic planning with hands-on execution—shaping Vogue’s digital future while staying connected to its rich editorial heritage. Ideal traits include:

Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Manage day-to-day publishing, optimization, and performance across social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Pinterest).
- Collaborate closely with editorial teams to boost engagement and traffic for every feature.
- Assist the Senior Manager in executing social strategies for key milestones:
- Cover reveals
- Tentpole events (e.g., awards season)
- Major editorial initiatives.
- Test, refine, and scale innovative digital strategies in partnership with Audience Development.
- Stay ahead of emerging social trends, platform algorithm shifts, and audience behaviors to position British Vogue as a leader in digital storytelling.
Creative & Executor-Focused Tasks
- Design and produce visually impactful social media graphics, templates, and branded assets—aligned with British Vogue’s visual identity and editorial standards.
- Partner with video teams to develop compelling social-first content.
- Expand content formats to resonate with evolving audiences, including e-commerce integrations (e.g., shoppable posts, beautifully curated merchandise).
Talent & On-Site Engagement
- Build rapport with talent, influencers, and industry partners to augment content performance.
- Capture dynamic on-location content—including Fashion Month photoshoots and events—ensuring timely, high-quality output that meets editorial deadlines.

Requirements

3+ years of social media management, preferably within a digital publisher (media, fashion, or luxury brands).

Strong editorial voice, with a proven ability to craft compelling copy and visual storytelling that drives meaningful engagement.

Proficiency in:
- Video editing (experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar).
- Graphic design (knowledge of Photoshop and Canva).
- Social media scheduling tools (e.g., Dash Hudson) and analytics platforms (Parse.ly).

Deep familiarity with fashion media, including trends, Royal Correspondences, and commercialization.

Analytical mindset—interpreting data to inform strategies with actionable insights.

Exceptional organizational skills to juggle high-pressure, multi-platform demands.

Creativity paired with attention to detail—able to pivot quickly in response to trends and audience feedback.
