Overview
Market Development Europe is looking for a Manager, Solutions Architect to drive the growth of Mastercard’s digital checkout and core acceptance solutions. The role focuses on our full suite of acceptance products, including tokenization, Click to Pay, passkey authentication, merchant cloud, agentic commerce, and emerging solutions such as stablecoins and others coming to market.
The main objective of this role is to accelerate revenue generation and sales engagement by bringing customer-tailored solutions where needed, connecting sales with the product and technical teams, and ensuring our products are communicated to customers in a way that clearly demonstrates their value and benefit.
This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of sales, product, and technical delivery.
Role
- Support the Business Development and Account Management teams of Market Development Europe in building their vertical plan and sales pipeline for digital and core acceptance solutions
- Support the Business Development and Account Management teams in customizing value narratives for clients that showcase the benefits of our different products
- Engage with the product teams on specific customer solutioning problems to identify how our products can be adjusted or tailored to meet customer and business needs
- Support the Business Development teams in customer-facing discussions to provide a deeper view of our products and solutions where the BD teams cannot
- Help the Business Development teams connect the dots and bundle different core acceptance and digital products together to deliver the best value for the customer
- Work with the CSC on creating processes and templates that enable the BD teams to operate efficiently and accelerate customer engagement
- Work with the CSC to create the right channels for communicating product updates across the MDE team and for channeling feedback back to the product teams
- Set up the structures to continuously track progress on digital and core priorities across MDE, and support the team in reporting on these KPIs as part of executive leadership reporting

All About You
The candidate we are looking for should:
- Have strong learning agility, with the ability to learn and ramp up on new topics quickly, including product and technical information across our different solutions
- Have a strategic mindset that looks at the big picture, understands the customer’s business priorities, and translates Mastercard solutions to meet those priorities
- Have a problem-solving and solution-focused mindset – a “how can we do it” rather than “we can’t do it” attitude
- Be structured, with the ability to build a project plan and follow it through
- Demonstrate clear ownership and accountability, with a strong outcome- and results-focused orientation
- Be a master collaborator, able to work effectively across Business Development, Account Management, product teams, and other Solutions Architect teams
- Have the ability to build deep product expertise quickly across a broad and evolving portfolio
- Have strong multitasking and prioritization skills to manage multiple products and initiatives in parallel
