JOB SUMMARY
The Manager of Solution Engineering leads a team of Solution Engineers who partner with Sales to demonstrate the technical value of Storyblok's headless CMS platform to prospective customers. This role owns the technical strategy for the sales cycle, from discovery through solution design and technical close, while coaching the team to consistently connect capabilities to customer value. The Manager also bridges Sales, Product, and Engineering, ensuring customer feedback shapes the roadmap. Success means a high-performing SE team that accelerates deal velocity and builds lasting trust with customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Solution Engineers to deliver high-impact technical demos and discovery
- Partner with Sales leadership to align SE resources with pipeline priorities and deal strategy
- Own technical win strategy across the sales cycle, from discovery through technical close
- Coach the team to connect Storyblok's capabilities directly to customer business value
- Act as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering, feeding field insights into the roadmap
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new Solution Engineers
- Define and track team performance metrics (e.g., win rates, deal velocity, technical CSAT)
- Develop and maintain SE enablement content, demo environments, and best practices
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Required: prior experience as a Solution Engineering Manager
- Required: experience with SaaS products, ideally in a technical pre-sales capacity
- Preferred: experience with CMS, DXP, or web/content management platforms
- Preferred: background as an individual-contributor Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar customer-facing role prior to management
- Preferred: familiarity with modern web development concepts (APIs, JavaScript frameworks, headless architecture)
- Preferred: experience selling into enterprise or mid-market buyers
- Demonstrates AI literacy, with the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and quality of work while applying sound judgment and critical thinking.

U.S. Base Salary Range: $145,900 - $200,000
At Storyblok, we are committed to equitable compensation and pay transparency. We consider many factors when it comes to compensation, such as the scope of the role, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Our base salary ranges are determined by job and job level and are benchmarked to relevant location and industry data. The range displayed represents the target US base compensation range within which we are hiring for this role. For some roles Storyblok also offers a competitive commission structure.
