About G3
G3 counsels business leaders and investors on the decisions that matter most to their organisations. We work alongside clients on many of the world's most significant transactions and corporate movements, advising on M&A, regulatory and policy matters, and senior appointments.
Clients turn to G3 because they need a better understanding of a commercial risk, a regulatory environment or an executive team, and because they value the independence and discretion of our work. Our clients include many of the world’s largest corporations, leading private equity funds, and major institutional investors. Many of them have worked with us for years.
The Role
A Manager leads the day-to-day execution of G3's engagements. In any given month, a Manager may help a deal team weigh the commercial risks in a major transaction or advise a client how shifting political dynamics should shape their positioning.
Much of this work is informed by G3's network – a global community of contacts cultivated over many years. Managers learn to draw on the network and turn what they gather into clear, well-organised analysis.
The subject matter varies widely, and Managers are expected to move between sectors, jurisdictions, and subject areas they may have had no prior exposure to. What matters is not what they already know, but the speed at which they can learn and the rigour they bring to the work once they do.
Managers are responsible for turning findings into a first-class written product. Much of our advice is also delivered on calls with senior clients, and we expect Managers to be articulate, precise, and reliable communicators.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for candidates with at least five years' experience in law, finance, consulting, corporate strategy, strategic intelligence, government, or comparable environments.
We do not hire for a single profile, and our work benefits from a range of perspectives. Typically, strong candidates:
- Are well organised and dependable, able to run several workstreams at once and keep a project moving.
- Are investigative by instinct and natural problem solvers: curious, persistent, and resourceful in finding what they need.
- Have high emotional intelligence and sound commercial judgement, quick to grasp what a client is really worried about and confident in advising them on it.
- Are strong generalists, with an excellent academic background and a demonstrable interest in writing, reasoning, and learning.
We also look for people who want to be part of building something. G3 is a growing firm, and the people who thrive here not only deliver excellent client work but also help shape the firm itself.
What Comes Next
Managers own project execution, hone their client-facing skills, and provide guidance to junior colleagues on project engagements. The people who progress furthest do two things well:
- They own the execution of projects and set the standard for the work around them.
- They show early potential beyond delivery: taking an interest in clients, developing junior colleagues, and demonstrating the judgement and range that mark someone out as a future Director.
