The team supports clients to assess their international tax strategies and provides a full spectrum of services across the entire transfer pricing life cycle. As a member of this team, you’ll work on multidisciplinary projects to help clients develop integrated and far-sighted global strategies in the ever-changing regulatory environment. This may include, but is certainly not limited to:
- Designing new transfer pricing models following business expansions or restructurings
- Leading HMRC interactions in controversy situations
- Supporting high-profile transactions
- Helping businesses meet their compliance obligations
Your Key Responsibilities
- Drafting high-quality technical deliverables in relation to a broad range of transfer pricing issues
- Managing the efficient and successful delivery of all types of transfer pricing engagements to a diverse range of clients, including:
- Private clients
- FTSE listed companies
- Inbound multinationals
- Businesses across multiple industries
- Utilising EY’s market-leading technology and AI-enabled solutions in delivering client services, while contributing to the continued development of these technologies
- Building and maintaining relationships with key client contacts to provide high-quality service, with a focus on:
- Technical excellence
- A practical and business-driven approach
- Actively partnering with a diverse range of EY client-serving teams to:
- Identify new business opportunities
- Support complex engagements spanning tax and commercial issues
- Managing junior team members to ensure successful client engagement delivery, including:
- Time invested in developing and upskilling the team
- Contributing to winning new work by:
- Proactively managing existing clients
- Undertaking new business development initiatives
- Responding to competitive tenders
- Supporting practice development initiatives, such as:
- Thought leadership
- People initiatives
- Business development

Skills and Attributes for Success
What We Look For
- Strong transfer pricing technical skills and a proactive approach to continuous professional development
- Ability to build strong relationships across all levels—clients and internal stakeholders
- Ability to integrate quickly into new teams
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), with the ability to adapt style to match the audience
- Strong risk identification skills, including:
- Effective error review
- Knowing when to escalate upwards
- Client-focused mindset with strong commercial awareness
- Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically
- Strong ability to manage, coach, and develop junior team members
- Project management skills, including:
- Planning and prioritising work
- Meeting deadlines
- Monitoring own budget and time

Ideally, You’ll Also Have
- ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA qualification; or
- fully qualified Tax Inspectors with completed Technical Training Course; or
- Law qualification; or
- CFA qualification; or
- Equivalent breadth of knowledge equivalent to a tax specialist qualification
- Proven ability to:
- Read and interpret existing and new tax statutes
