Treasury Technology Manager – Debt, Capital & Treasury Advisory, Deloitte

The Debt, Capital & Treasury Advisory team is a core part of Deloitte’s Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory practice, delivering independent, high-calibre advice and global execution across debt, capital, and treasury disciplines. Recognised as one of the top Treasury Advisory teams in the UK, we are expanding to grow alongside Corporate Treasury and Private Equity firms—purely in an advisory capacity—tackling their most sophisticated financial and operational challenges.

We are looking for a Treasury Technology Manager to drive project delivery and business development. Ideal for ambitious professionals with treasury and technology expertise, eager to develop further while contributing to Deloitte’s market-leading position in advisory services.

About the Opportunity

The role offers the chance to lead and shape cutting-edge treasury technology projects, liaising with senior stakeholders to enhance client offerings and maintain Deloitte’s positioning as industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery Lead end-to-end treasury technology initiatives, including:

    • Defining scope, developing timelines, and managing budgets
    • Aligning stakeholder expectations while mitigating project risks
    • Ensuring adherence to methodologies, compliance, and security
    • Delivering technical expertise and hands-on support
  • System Selection & Vendor Management Steer TMS (Treasury Management System) evaluations, including:

    • Conducting vendor assessments
    • Structuring RFPs (Requests for Proposal)
    • Participating in due diligence processes

  • Implementation, Upgrades & Integrations Oversee seamless transitions and improvements such as:

    • TMS architecture and upgrades
    • Cross-enterprise system integration for accuracy and efficiency
    • Coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Business Development Grow the client pipeline by:

    • Identifying and pursuing new opportunities
    • Crafting client proposals and presentations
    • Building long-term relationships and thought leadership
    • Contributing to innovative advisory propositions
  • Client Collaboration Provide expert consultation to senior client management and nurture relationships through transparent, actionable advice.

  • Teamwork & Growth Partner with a diverse, inclusive team to foster knowledge-sharing and people development, while leveraging expertise from Corporate Finance Advisory, including Debt Advisory, Transaction Services, and Technology & Transformation teams.


Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Master’s-level degree (or equivalent) in finance, technology, business administration (or certification like AMCT)
  • Proven experience in managing treasury tech projects (e.g., TMS selections, implementations, upgrade/integrations)
  • Corporate treasury experience with large organisations, consulting firms, or vendor teams
  • Strong grasp of treasury operations and TMS/related technologies (payment/cash management, ERP)
  • Expertise in vendor negotiations and contract administration
  • Insight into IT security standards, data migration, and system integrations
  • Proficiency in methods like Agile, PRINCE2 or hybrid frameworks
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and delivery leadership
  • Fluent Verbal/Written English with exceptional analytical skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems with innovative questioning
  • Qualification/history of concise report preparation
  • Commitment to an advisory consulting career and self-development
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel/Power Query, Project/PowerPoint)

Desirable Attributes

  • Prior handling of TMS solutions: Kyriba, FIS Quantum/Integrity, ION IT2/Reval, GTreasury
  • Experience with RPA, AI, BI Reporting in treasury contexts
