About the Role
Capgemini Invent is the digital innovation, design, and transformation arm of the Capgemini Group that helps CXOs envision and shape the future of their organizations.
Within Invent, the Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) team specializes in delivering analytical solutions and advisory services that help major private and public sector clients unlock value using data and artificial intelligence (AI).
Managing Consultant – Asset Analytics
Within the Enterprise Data Analytics team, your work involves:
- Proposing and developing analytical and AI-powered solutions to provide actionable insights such as optimising performance, reliability, cost efficiency, and risk management
- Collaborating with engineering, operations, and business teams to translate strategic objectives into validated solutions
- Addressing challenges in asset-, infrastructure-, and process-heavy industries such as:
- Aerospace & Defence
- Manufacturing
- Energy
- Transport
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead a project workstream or small project, ensuring delivery quality and alignment with client objectives
- Work directly with clients to provide industry-leading advice and solutions
- Leverage the latest Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies to drive transformational change
- Translate technical outputs into clear business insights for proposals and client presentations
- Engage with client stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate progress effectively
- Draft proposals and view opportunities for strategic value creation

What You’ll Bring

Expertise Priorities

Modelling, Simulation & Digital Twins
- Multi-paradigm simulation e.g. discrete event, agent-based, system dynamics for complex systems
- Validation & verification (V&V) including parameter tuning, sensitivity, and uncertainty checks
- Scenario testing for bottlenecks, capacity, resilience, and policy impacts
- Operational digital twins using live data, telemetry, and event streams
- Model versioning and reproducibility with governance

Optimisation
- ILP/MIP formulation, decomposition, and solver-based optimisation
- Scheduling, resource allocation across workforce, maintenance, and logistics
- Robust/stochastic optimisation with scenario generation and risk-aware decision-making
- Network and flow optimisation for supply chain, routing, and capacity planning
- AI-informed optimisation heuristics and dynamic decision-support

- Machine Learning, Data Science & Applied AI
- Anomaly detection (statistical, ML, and hybrid) for fault/quality monitoring
- RUL (Remaining Useful Life) estimation, predictive maintenance (failure time, degradation models)
- Time series, causal forecasting for demand, load, reliability, and performance
- AI model development for predictive insights, automation, and operational decision-making
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field)
- Hands-on experience in modelling (discrete event simulation, agent-based, system dynamics) and translating systems into viable models
- Strong proficiency in Python (or similar) for data manipulation, automation, and AI/ML workflows
- Status or eligibility for Security Clearance (SC)
Additional Expectations
- A solid grasp of statistical analysis, experimental design, and data visualization
- Experience applying AI/advanced analytics in operational/asset-heavy environments
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
