About the Role

FenwayXn is looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Managing Consultant to join the delay team and assist in the delivery of high-quality, data-driven work products to support our clients at advisory, pre-dispute and/or dispute stages. This role offers an excellent opportunity for development while working with a small team of experienced individuals on a variety of international construction projects, with a focus on forensic delay analysis.

This role is typically suitable for a professional with over 6 years of relevant experience in the construction industry and prior experience in delay expert witness work. It offers an excellent opportunity to grow in experience surrounded by a team of experienced individuals, while successfully delivering projects, managing teams and developing client relationships.

Role Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple projects of varying sizes and complexity.
  • Managing the analysis and direction of the project as a lead support to the project expert.
  • Drafting expert reports and analysis for final expert reports.
  • Managing the workload and tasks of the project team.
  • Presentation of findings externally through oral and written communication.
  • Managing budgets and fee reports.
  • Mentoring and guiding more junior team members.
  • Regularly attending marketing events, client events, seminars and lectures to build relationships.
  • Drafting proposals and seeking out new opportunities for project work.

Qualifications Required

  • Degree level education in a construction-related field (e.g., Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying).
  • Typically suitable for a professional with over 6 years of relevant experience in the construction industry and prior experience in delay expert witness work (International experience is preferable).
  • A proven track record in business development.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MBA, Level 7 NVQ in Construction Senior Management) are highly valued.
  • The ability to input into business initiatives and internal projects to enable the smooth running of the company.
