The role…
We are recruiting a Managing Consultant to join our Consumer Custom Solutions Team. You will work with leading FMCG brands and packaging manufacturers to deliver bespoke data solutions and consumer insight across sectors including beverages, food, packaging, and retail.
This is a senior, client-facing role combining project leadership, team management, and analytical delivery. You’ll lead multiple projects end-to-end—shaping methodology, ensuring quality, and translating complex data into clear, commercially relevant recommendations.

Typical projects include (but are not limited to): market sizing (e.g., sizing the market for beverages by packaging type or channel), creating strategic insight reports, building market attractiveness models, and identifying consumer trends and innovation opportunities for clients.
What You’ll Be Doing…
- Lead delivery of multiple projects for global FMCG and packaging clients, from kick-off through to final client presentation.
- Manage and develop a team of consultants, providing direction on approach and hands-on support across tasks such as secondary research, data analysis, modelling, and insight/report writing.
- Advise on research methodology, creating fit-for-purpose approaches that best meet the client's needs, as well as the budget and timeline.
- Own quality control by implementing robust QC processes and conducting thorough checks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build strong client relationships, including regular progress check-ins and presenting key findings and recommendations.
- Design and deliver primary research, including creating interview guides, consumer surveys, and store audit templates, designing samples/target lists, and briefing external agencies/research partners.
- Support team learning and development, including training, mentoring, and upskilling junior team members.
What We’re Looking For…
- Proven experience in consulting, strategic analysis and/or market research is essential.
- Experience in FMCG, consumer, and/or packaging sectors is essential (or a clear passion and appetite to build knowledge and expertise in this space).
- Strong experience in market sizing and data modelling is essential. The candidate should be comfortable working with large/complex datasets, and building defensible methodologies.
- A highly analytical and structured mindset, with the ability to synthesise data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrable ability to lead project delivery in a fast-paced environment, balancing quality, deadlines, and budgets.
- Experience managing people, and/or teams (e.g. formal line management or leading project deliveries).
- Strong communication skills, including being able to present project findings to key clients and stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI are essential.
