Managing Consultant - Defence & Security Solutions

What You’ll Do
- Shape and launch high-impact, socially beneficial service offerings
- Develop and implement business growth strategies, owning outcomes and partnerships
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate technical insights into strategic decisions
- Coach and nurture your team, fostering professional development through mentorship and knowledge-sharing
- Represent PA as a defence and industry subject-matter expert, guiding transformational initiatives
Responsibilities
Assume Responsibility
- Lead delivery across entire lifecycle of end-to-end solutions with software/tech components, consulting & change management.
- Archive developed intelligent challenge-based technologies as a tractable management team member, building credibility with stakeholders and contributing to holistic service planning.
Grow Impact and Relationships
- Craft and maintain trusting relationships with senior defence clients, proposing innovative and scalable solutions.
- Act as a thought leader, driving market alignment with key clients.
- Support market expansion by fostering new partnerships and leveraging PA’s global expertise in d&s industries, including banking, payments, wealth management.
Advance Intellectual Growth
- Conceptualize and refine future state architecture strategy to align business value chains, digital maturity, and nuanced defence challenges.
- Share expertise across related disciplines, offering mindset-localized expertise insights into future tech stacks (IoT, cloud-native etc.).

Requirements
Experience & Expertise
Essential requirements ✅ (Even if you don’t match every bullet, apply — we hire for similar roles!)
- Proven leadership: Proven experience leading architecture and development teams, managing end-to-end solutions for defence sector and broad cybersecurity, pragmatic banking/insurance/payments industry requirements where applicable.
- Domain expertise: Deep defence and security sector knowledge (imparting solutions to complex challenges) with transactional communication strengths, supporting system integration & continuity across sectors (insurance/security, for instance).
- Strategic & communication skills: Ability to articulate architectural strategies across business and technical domains, translate vision into engaging value propositions for senior stakeholders.
- Business development acumen: Highly developed networking skills, with an active pipeline of senior stakeholders. Experience includes pre-sales conversations, proposal strategy and stakeholder relationship expansion plans.
- Tool proficiency: Familiar with architecture frameworks and models (e.g., UML, ArchiMate), emerging tech trends, satisfaction assurance frameworks, and toolchain documentation.
Technical Proficiency
- Architectural tools: UML, ArchiMate, and capability to mentor a novel use of emerging tech (IoT, cloud-native).
- Cloud & Platform: AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM, Oracle, Salesforce.
- Experience with agile/aware-spaking-to-leadership model solutions, combining sector-expert insight with full-stack technology mastery.

Assessment Process
We’re scanning for high potential talent, so the interview process previously will evolve with:
- Introductory Call: Share with a senior talent partner regulatory insights about how PA’s services operate, drifts opportunities.
- Round 1: Compete three distinct competency-based sessions, demonstrating impact on clients, drive with teams, and engineering capabilities.
- Final Round: Business plan presentation; include guidance to prepare over two weeks collaborating with future leaders at the firm.
