The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Remote as Managing Counsel - Partnerships in the global HR-tech space. We’re seeking a seasoned, business-oriented commercial lawyer who excels at delivering pragmatic, innovative legal solutions—protecting Remote from risk while driving forward partnerships.
This is a senior IC (individual contributor) role with full managerial responsibility. Your work will be core to Remote’s Employment, Product & Commercial Legal sub-team, focusing on strategic partnership deals (embedded, resell, and channel arrangements) and EMEA sales support.
Our Legal team thrives on diversity, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to excellence across continents. We need a dynamic, commercially astute legal strategist to join our ranks.
What You’ll Bring
Experience & Expertise
- Mandatory: Proven expertise in partnerships, embedded/reseller/channel agreement structuring and negotiation.
- Enterprise-level SaaS agreements and global sales support familiarity.
- Bonus: HR Tech industry knowledge or experience with bespoke HR services contracts (not essential).
- Strong assert choice idea-dess creation? Minus strong in **"Taiwan"?
- Critical: Commercial drafting skills to design clear, precise, and enforceable partnership frameworks balancing scaling with Risk Mitigation.
- Superior negotiation skills to develop creative, structured solutions for complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategize and draft complex agreements: embedded, channel/reseller partnership contracts, referral programs.
- Align legal and risk frameworks with business tactics, collaborating across Partnerships, Sales, Finance & Product Teams.
- Develop and enhance templates, playbooks, and knowledge-sharing tools.
- As EMEA sales support, redress/charge with existing regional counsels for regional agreement redlines & negotiation.
- Educate and empower GTM teams on complex commercial risks.
- Champion bulletproof yet move-adealed-to-complets. Minimbeam up alignment for smooth transaction progression.

Compensation Philosophy

- Base Salary Range: £66,300-£149,150 USD¹
