Role Summary
A rare opportunity to lead a globally recognised automation technology manufacturer through its next phase of international growth and strategic development. As Managing Director, you will:
- Define and execute the company’s strategy
- Drive global expansion
- Strengthen the company’s position in the automation and robotics market
- Work closely with the parent organisation while maintaining entrepreneurial leadership of the business

Key Responsibilities
- Global Strategy: Define and deliver a worldwide strategy aligned with the parent group.
- Revenue Growth: Drive growth across automation and robotics markets.
- Product Leadership: Provide leadership across the product portfolio and guide future product direction.
- Sales & Marketing: Own global commercial performance.
- Leadership Development: Build and lead a high-performing senior leadership team.
- Customer & Partner Engagement: Strengthen relationships with major international customers and partners.
- International Operations: Lead sales operations across Europe, North America, and Asia.
- Corporate Governance: Serve as Director of the UK entity and its subsidiaries.
Travel Requirements
- Primarily office-based (ideally commutable to West Midlands/South West)
- Extensive international travel across:
- Europe
- North America
- Asia
for visits to subsidiaries, customers, and the parent organisation.

Qualifications & Experience
- Proven senior leadership experience within automation, robotics, or related industrial technology sectors
- Strong background in product-oriented technology businesses
- Demonstrated sales and marketing leadership
- Relevant engineering degree
- Experience scaling international, technology-led businesses
- Commercially driven, strategic, and hands-on leadership style
- Strong ethical values and integrity
