About the Company

My client is a highly successful, privately owned manufacturing business with an established international presence and an outstanding reputation for quality, innovation, and customer service. Operating across more than 50 countries, the company designs, develops, and manufactures its own proprietary product range, supplying customers through a well-established global distribution network.

With annual revenues of approximately £23 million, a strong balance sheet, and a long history of profitable growth, the business is entering an exciting new phase of its development. Following decades of successful family ownership, the shareholders are seeking to appoint a Managing Director to lead the next chapter of the company's evolution.

The business operates within specialist safety and environmental markets, combining advanced manufacturing capability with extensive in-house design, engineering, and product development expertise. Its differentiated product portfolio, strong intellectual property, and long-standing customer relationships provide an excellent platform for continued sustainable growth.

The Board has a clear ambition to accelerate growth over the coming years through commercial excellence, product innovation, operational improvement, and international market development. This appointment will play a pivotal role in delivering that strategy whilst preserving the culture, values, and reputation that have been fundamental to the company's long-term success.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
