UK & European Manufacturer – Managing Director

Location: Worcestershire Salary: c. £150,000 + executive car, bonus & comprehensive benefits

This is one of the most compelling leadership opportunities available. Our client is a providing a flagship portfolio of FMCG products across the UK and Europe. With a strong heritage, significant investment, and bold growth ambitions, they are seeking an award-winning Managing Director.

This is more than a typical operational or commercial leadership role. You will take full ownership of P&L responsibility for a strategic UK manufacturing operation, shaping its future with autonomy to drive performance, develop people, and build long-term value while collaborating with the European leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

As MD, you will:

  • Lead P&L responsibility for the UK business, reporting directly into the European Board to set and execute strategy while delivering operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute a business strategy that maximises profitability and sustainable growth, balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.
  • Drive the commercial agenda, cultivating key customer relationships and uncovering new market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the European Board to influence broader business initiatives, ensuring alignment with continental strategy.
  • Champion continuous improvement, investment in innovation, and a culture of operational excellence.
  • Spearhead a culture of accountability, engagement, and leadership at all levels of the business.

Requirements & Experience

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven P&L accountability in a manufacturing context, demonstrating a track record of delivering profitable growth.
  • Experience in a leadership position such as Managing Director, General Manager, Business Unit Director, or Divisional Leader within manufacturing—ideally with in-house production or supply chain experience.
  • A blend of commercial acumen and operational excellence, turning strategy into tangible results.
  • Experience reporting to a multinational or international group structure is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with FMCG or highly robust manufacturing environments is preferred but not mandatory—high-calibre leaders from similar sectors are also encouraged to apply.
