About Savvy
Savvy is a fintech company specialising in fully digital consumer lending. We develop technology-driven instalment loan products focused on responsible lending, automation, transparent pricing and an outstanding customer experience.
We are looking for an experienced Managing Director to lead our UK business, oversee local operations and drive sustainable growth. This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious fintech at an early stage and play a key role in building a leading digital lending business in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the UK business and local P&L.
- Develop and execute the UK market strategy.
- Ensure full compliance with FCA regulations and Consumer Credit legislation.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, payment providers, credit bureaus and strategic partners.
- Oversee local operations and manage external service providers.
- Recruit, lead and develop the UK team.
- Monitor portfolio performance, operational KPIs and collections.
- Collaborate closely with Group Risk, Product, Marketing, BI and Engineering teams.
- Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Represent the company with regulators, partners and other key stakeholders.

Requirements
- 5+ years of leadership experience within UK consumer lending, fintech or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of the UK unsecured consumer lending market.
- Proven experience working under FCA regulation.
- Demonstrated experience managing P&L and delivering commercial results.
- Deep understanding of:
- unsecured instalment lending;
- affordability and creditworthiness assessments;
- credit bureau data and integrations;
- payments and loan servicing;
- collections and arrears management;
- fraud prevention;
- operational processes.
- Experience launching or scaling digital lending products is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial mindset with excellent analytical skills.
- Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience launching or scaling online instalment loan products.
- Previous experience in a high-growth fintech environment.
- Existing relationships with UK financial institutions, payment providers or credit bureaus.
