Job description:
Primarily reporting to a Commercial Manager and providing daily support and guidance on all project commercial matters. Accountable for the commercial management of 2 projects within the PPP Framework. Responsible for developing and training of more junior members of the commercial team. Will report into and work closely with the Project Managers for all packages responsible for. Will be responsible for maintaining and accurate reporting of budgets, EACs and tracking of movements where forecast has changed.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure contract compliance and consolidate and coordinate that information as advice to Senior Project Manager
- Management of the commercial project team and ensuring they perform to the required standards and expectations
- Responsible for maintaining the standards, requirements and procedures for project commercial activities
- Accountability for all project internal and external commercial reporting
- Developing and agreeing T&Cs for subcontractors
- Delivery of internal and external commercial targets
- Ensures the quality, timeliness and consistency of work produced by the team
- Management of Lot partner commercial Process and associated Supply chain.
- Ensure the accuracy of data communicated and reported to all stakeholders
- The highlighting of any current and potential issues to the Commercial Manager
- Maintain compliance with approved processes procedures and project executive plans
- The active contribution to continuous improvement of the functional quality and performance of Quantity Surveying
- To work in compliance with the Collaborative Management Plan
- To work closely with cross functions, ensuring procurement and management of contracts obtains relevant input from such departments

Requirements:
- Extensive experience of the management, development and training of more junior commercial members
- Extensive knowledge and experience of management of terms and conditions of contract e.g. NEC4 option E, C and A and ability to apply bespoke contracts and management of Framework agreements
- Extensive experience of development of business cases and subcontracts
- Experience in the nuclear industry or other regulated industry preferred
- Experience of managing project teams and working collaboratively
- Excellent communicator, leader and team builder
- Chartered member to a recognised organisation (RICS or CIOB) an advantage
- Capable of obtaining (or currently holds) UK Nuclear industry clearance
- Complete managerial and strategic commercial skill set
- Ability to report and present to senior management on all aspects of commercial and operational activities
