Managing Solution Architect
Enterprise or Solution Architect – Data Powered Industries and Domains (DPID), UK
Who You'll Be Working With
The Data Powered Industries and Domains (DPID) team, part of Capgemini’s Insights and Data practice in the UK, is expanding its Architecture capability. Join a team that acts as a trusted advisor to some of the UK’s most significant clients, helping them solve complex data, AI, and analytics challenges across the entire delivery lifecycle. We bridge the gap between business and technology, translating ambitions into actionable solutions that deliver tangible value.
Your role will involve shaping strategic data and AI initiatives, fostering client partnerships, and driving capability growth across the organisation.
Key Security Requirement
Security Clearance (SC) is mandatory to secure this position. Eligibility is contingent on:
- Residence: Having resided continuously in the UK for the last 5 years (alongside other criteria specific to the clearing process).
- Nationality: Some roles are restricted to sole UK nationals for security reasons.
Note: During recruitment, you will be asked to confirm your eligibility for a Security Check (SC) clearance, including details on residency, nationality, and other criteria.
Focus of Your Role
As an Enterprise or Solution Architect, you’ll spearhead data, AI, and analytics strategy for clients, offering expert technical advice, leading large-scale engagements, and shaping future capabilities. Your contributions will drive meaningful transformation, helping organisations unlock the power of their data.
Key Responsibilities

Advising Senior Stakeholders
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, business leaders, and technical teams, guiding decisions on data, AI, and analytics architecture.
- Provide clear, data-driven insights to bridge the gap between business goals and technical execution, ensuring alignment with long-term strategy.
- Assess risks, trade-offs, and opportunities to help clients achieve scalable, value-driven solutions.

Guiding Large-Scale Client Engagements
- Own architecture direction for complex, multi-disciplinary projects—from initial concepts to final delivery.
- Influence business development by crafting compelling, feasible, and differentiated architecture proposals.
- Collaborate with sales, delivery, and portfolio teams to ensure seamless transitions from sales promises to live solutions.

Essential Qualifications
- Proven experience in Enterprise/Solution Architecture, ideally specialising in data, AI, or advanced analytics domains.
- Strong technical acumen in data-centric architectures, including:
- Cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Data lakes, warehouses, and integration technologies
- Responsible AI principles, data governance frameworks, and security controls
- Business acumen: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, actionable guidance for stakeholders at all levels.
- Relationship-building skills: Ability to earn trust, influence, and collaborate dynamically with business and technology leaders.
- Problem-solving edge: Comfortable navigating ambiguity while synthesising creative solutions.
- Curiosity and learning mindset: Keeps pace with industry trends, leverages futuristic tools, and pushes boundaries.
- Hybrid work - ready: Willing to balance on-site, client-facing, and office-based engagements.
Nice to Have
- Experience in industry-specific data challenges (e.g., public sector, manufacturing, energy, pharma).
- Fluency in architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
- Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, AI ethics-related certifications).
