Managing Solutions Architect
London / Hybrid (2–3 days client site)
£125,000–£150,000 + £7,000 Car Allowance + 15–20% Bonus
I'm working with a leading global consultancy that's continuing to invest heavily in its Defence & Security practice and is looking to appoint an experienced Managing Solutions Architect to lead major architecture and digital transformation programmes across the sector.
This is a senior client-facing role where you'll combine technical leadership with business development, helping shape complex transformation strategies while growing key client relationships across Defence.
The Role
You'll be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams, advising senior stakeholders and delivering architecture strategies across large-scale transformation programmes. Alongside client delivery, you'll play a key role in developing new business, mentoring consultants and helping grow the wider practice.

What They're Looking For
- Strong background leading architecture and engineering teams within Defence or Government environments.
- Experience delivering enterprise, solution or digital architecture across complex transformation programmes.
- Ability to engage and influence senior client stakeholders.
- Proven track record in business development, pre-sales and winning new work.
- Experience across modern cloud platforms including AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, UML or ArchiMate.
- An established network within the Defence sector would be highly advantageous.
